Presenters
Helen Beairsto, RC
Helen is trained in spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, and clinical social work. She is a practitioner of the healing arts and has given numerous retreats and workshops.
Rev. Frank Berna, OFM
Rev. Frank Berna, ofm Fr. Frank is a Franciscan friar, who was ordained in 1980 and earned a Ph.D. from Fordham University in Systematic Theology. He is currently director of the Graduate Theology and Ministry program at La Salle University. Frank teaches courses in Christology, Ecclesiology, and Spirituality and provides days of recollection for the Institute for Lay Ecclesial Ministry for the Diocese of Trenton. He is a weekend assistant at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Red Bank.
Magaret Ellen Burke, SC
Margaret has years of experience guiding, directing, and preaching retreats both in the United States and Canada. She has trained and supervised spiritual directors for over twenty-five years and continues ministry for lay leadership training and spiritual development in rural counties of the diocese of New York.
Rev. James Burke
Rev. James Burke, a retired pastor of the Archdiocese of Newark, is a trained spiritual director who has given directed retreats in Gloucester, Mass., Morristown, NJ, Cape May, NJ. He is often called upon to give parish retreats and days of recollection.
Joan Carey, SSJ
Joan is a Sister of St. Joseph of Philadelphia.   She is an educator as well as an attorney.  Joan has taught from elementary school through graduate school.  As an attorney she focused on domestic violence issues.  Joan is on staff of WATERSPIRIT.
Maureen Christensen, RSM
Maureen is Co-DIrector of the Upper Room Spiritual Center. A certified spiritual director retreat director and supervisor with a Masters in Education, she is part of a core team for Women's Gathering and Taize prayer. Some special interests include the Labyrinth as a walking meditation and teaching the Enneagram to understand staff relationships.
Carol Conley, RSM
Carol is currently on the leadership team of the SIsters of Mercy of the Mid-Atlantic community. Carol is an experienced spiritual director who has given numerous retreats. She has done spiritual direction for over thirty years.
Anita M. Constance, SC
Anita is the Director of Xavier Retreat and Conference Center at Convent Station, NJ. She is the author of several spiritual books, and has 15 years of pastoral care experience at Saint Anne Villa, in Convent Station. Her other ministries include liturgy, spiritual direction, bereavement support, and pastoral counseling in parish settings.
Gail DeMaria, CSJP
Gail, a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace, is an experienced spiritual director who also supervises spiritual directors. SHe has been involved in formation ministry as well as community leadership. Currently, Gail is the DIrector of Novices for her Congregation.
Karen M. Doyle, SSJ
Karen, a Sister of St. Joseph of Philadelphia, is on the ministerial staff at St. Ignatius Retreat House in Manhasset, NY. Karen is a spiritual director, retreat director, supervisor, co-director of an International Summer Internship in Directing the Ignatian Directed Retreats, and director for on-going formation for lay members. Karen is involved in spiritual direction training programs in Taiwan, Philippines, Demark, and Canada.
Renee Foggia
Renee, owner and executive chef of Cafe Bliss, is an accomplished chef who delights in new creations. She is currently bringing her culinary gifts to the retreatants at Stella Maris.
Margaret Gaffikin, FSP
Margaret, a Franciscan Sister of Peace, is a certified spiritutal director.  She is an educator and has experience in congregational leadership.
Donna Gaglioti, MFP
Donna is the Pastoral Associate for the Catholic Community at Seabrook Village. Donna provides Pastoral Care day to day, but especially in times of difficulty or bereavement. She provides ongoing spiritual and inspirational gatherings and collaborates with colleagues providing Interfaith Spiritual Programs. She is a trained spiritual director and has experience giving retreats.
Jonathan Galente
Jonathan is a Trustee of the DeMello Spirituality Center at Fordham University, New York. He has conducted deMello Conferences with Father Frank Stroud, SJ for over twenty years. After Father Frank's passing, two years ago, he and Desmond Towey have continued the program which remains faithful to the original deMello message and exercises while at the same time providing insights from contemporary spiritual teachers.
Kathleen Geelan
Kathleen is a wife, mother and grandmother who is a certified spiritual director.  She serves on the staff for the Internship and Spiritual Directors Program in California and has vast experience in spirituality.
Paulette Giraud
Paulette is a single laywoman who is a Companion to the Sisters of the Cenacle. She has been personally trained by the founders of the Institute for BioSpiritual Focusing and is certified as a facilitator of the process.
Eleanor Goekler, SMIC
Eleanor, a Franciscan Missionary Sister of the Immaculate Conception, is a certified spiritual director who has experience in formation and community leadership as well as pastoral work with the poor.
Suzanne Golas, CSJP
Suzanne is the founder and director of WATERSPIRIT.  She is the liaison for the sisters of St. Joseph of Peace at the United Nations where she concentrates on issues dealing with the environment.  She has a certificate in Ecology and Spirituality from Genesis Farm and St. Thomas University.
Ginger Grancagnolo, Dr.
Ginger is an author, lecturer, and counselor. Over thirty years of experience has given her extensive knowledge as well as much practical experience. She is the author of Who Whould I Be If I Weren't So Afraid?, The Father Principle, and The Mother Principle. She is an associate of the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell.
Richard Johnson, PhD
Richard is nationally recognized for his pioneering work in Adult Faith Formation and Spiritual Gerontology.  He is a national presenter for religious congregations, workshops, retreats, and other educational works. He has written fourteen books all focused upon God's expansive grace in the maturing years. He is a dynamic, engaging, and compassionate teacher.
Ruth Kennedy, SCSA
Ruth Kennedy, scsa is a spiritual director and pastoral care and grief counselor, who has vast experience in counseling, spiritual direction, and retreat ministry.
Joan Leary
Joan is an experienced spiritual director and graduate of the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation at Washington Theological Union.  She is currently a Pastoral Associate at St. Anthony Parish in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Patricia Lefevere
Patricia is a freelance writer who has reported on religion and  the world of business and finance from many parts of the world.  A former resident of Britain, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Australia, she makes her home in New Jersey where she has taught creative writing to college and university students.  Since 1975 she has published frequently in the National Catholic Reporter.
Carol Marozzi, SSJ
Carol, a Sister of St. Joseph of Philadelphia, has been Director of Bon Secour Spiritual  Center in Marriottsville, Maryland for ten years.  She has degrees in theology and spirituality and is a certified spiritual director.  Carol works full time in retreat ministry.
Jean McLoughlin, SSND
Jean is a School Sister of Notre Dame and a certified spiritual director.  Jean gives retreats and days of prayer in the tri-state area and is on a team at Fairfield University offering spiritual direction to students, faculty and staff.
Doris Mical, CSJP
Doris is a certified spiritual director and experienced retreat director. She has had experience in Congregation Formation Ministry and has a current practice in pastoral counseling and spiritual direction.
Terrence Moran, CSJPA
Fr. Terry, an associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, is a spiritual director, writer, and retreat director. He has given retreats and workshops on theology and spirituality in over twenty-five countires. Terry is a Co-Director of the Quellen Spiritual Direction Formation Program in Mendham, NJ.
Jan Novotka
Jan is a retreat facilitator, song writer, wilderness fast guide, and a leader of song for retreats, congregational chapters, and other spiritual and/or Earth focused gatherings. Her primary commitment is to exploring and awakening the emerging new consciousness.
Vida O'Leary, RSM
Vida, a Sister of Mercy of the Mid-Atlantic, is the former DIrector of the Francis of House of Prayer. A certified spiritual director, she has vast experience as a spiritual director and retreat presenter.
Diarmuid O'Murchu
Diarmuid is a member of the Sacred Heart Missionary Order and a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He is a social psychologist and has spent most of his working life in social ministry predominantly in London, England. In that capacity he has worked as a couple's counsellor, in bereavement work, AIDS-HIV counseling, and lately with homeless people and refugees.

As a workshop leader and group facilitator, Diarmuid has worked in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, The Philippines, Thailand, India, Peru, and several African countries facilitating programmes on Adult Faith Development.

His best known books include Quantum Theology (1966 - revised in 2004), Reclaiming Spirituality (1998), Evolutionary Faith (2002), Catching Up with Jesus (2005), The Transformation of Desire (2007), Ancestral Grace (2008), Jesus in the Power of Poetry (2009).

Anthony Padovano
Anthony Padovano holds doctorates and professorships in theology and literature. He is the author of twenty-eight books and award-winning plays which have been translated into seven languages. He has been visiting professor of twenty-five American colleges and universities and appears in the media on both sides of the Atlantic. He was a founding member of Ramapo College of New Jersey, a four-year New Jersey State College in the state's university system.
Ann Marie Rimmer, OP
Ann Marie, a Dominican Sister of Caldwell, NJ, holds an MA in Systematic Theology and is a certified spiritual director.  Ann Marie conducts days of prayer and retreats, and is Program Director at Stella Maris Retreat Center.
Desmond Towey
