Deposit: $75 Are you an artist? A painter? A writer? Come and immerse yourself deeply in the natural world. Spend days and nights on Stella Maris' coastal land to strengthen your connection to self, Earth and her waters, and to the sacred dimension in your life. Bring a tent and a sense of wonder. No previous camping experience required. This retreat begins at 1 pm on 8/30 and ends at 1 pm on 9/2.

Deposit: $75 This unique program will truly open your eyes to whatever and wherever you may be stuck -- knowingly or unknowingly! We will examine and touch all aspects of your life to review why the full expression of God's joy, peace and love may still not be your daily experience. We will highlight a profound perspective about why people of faith are especially embraced by God to be a "people of waiting". Your approach to daily living and praying will have an opportunity to change forever.
THE JOHNSON INSTITUTE: BODY-MIND-SPIRIT INNER HEALING and SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT: TAPPING INTO GOD'S HEALING POWER WITHIN US
November 1 - 3, 2010 Fee: $565; $445 (commuter)
This workshop/retreat presents a step by step plan to bring healing and/or spiritual deepening into your life by awakening your unique God-given spiritual power. Healing occurs in many different levels: body, mind, and spirit. This workshop opens you to an entirely new way of tapping into your God-given power. Participants learn a tried and true way of bringing peace, calm, confidence and faith into their life journey.

THE TEN SPIRITUAL "REQUIREMENTS" OF THE SECOND HALF OF LIFE

This workshop/retreat specifically and concretely outlines the spiritual "work" of the second half of life. Spiritual development in this stage propels us to new and exciting heights of heart, mind, and soul.
The road is not an easy one. Indeed, the illumination stage can be difficult, and yet the most rewarding stage. Physical diminishments and shifts in active involvement in the busyness of the world can promote spiritual growth, or it can overwhelm us. Spiritual growth comes from converting these potential threats into personal challenges that stir our spirit and propel us toward God.

Deposit: $75 Thomas Merton was a mystic and a political activist, a cloistered monk and a social reformer for non-violence, a Catholic who found spiritual wisdom in Protestant Christianity and world religions, a Tridentine monk who became a Vatican II prophet. This is a silent retreat.

How can we be drawn to the mystery, power, and beauty of water and still be part of the water crisis facing Earth and her people? This crisis calls for a shift in the sense of ourselves and a deepening of our awareness of water. What is this shift? What is its meaning in our life story? Through reflection, meditation, ritual and sharing, discover an exciting new way of being and acting. This retreat begins at 7 pm on 8/18 and ends at 1 pm on 8/21.
